Out · of · the · Blue

you know,
to me, unconsciously
is not so unconscious
it’s more subconscious

and when they lie
i’m just being honest with myself
when i know that it’s done on purpose
not out of habit
or because it ‘just happened’

filtering out the underlying emotion
of a situation
and then putting a finger on a sore spot
is what i love to do

but it’s what
most people hate about me, too
