will the dawn break
the looming grey sky?
today was humid,
today was grey,
today had a dark edge to it

are you ever alone in this world
when things to make you happy,
and things to make you sad
are on every corner
and walk along with you
take you by the hand,
until they drive you mad

like phonecalls that linger
too long in your head
like skies that just threaten
but never attack

i remember you happy,
but now only sad
when you called me today,
i looked up at the sky

but never clears up
